KJV Lexicon A man'iysh (eesh) a man as an individual or a male person; often used as an adjunct to a more definite term (and in such cases frequently not expressed in translation) shall be commended halal (haw-lal') to be clear (orig. of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence, to make a show, to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causatively, to celebrate; also to stultify according peh (peh) the mouth (as the means of blowing), whether literal or figurative (particularly speech); specifically edge, portion or side; adverbially (with preposition) according to to his wisdom sekel (seh'-kel) intelligence; by implication, success -- discretion, knowledge, policy, prudence, sense, understanding, wisdom, wise. but he that is of a perverse `avah (aw-vaw') to crook, literally or figuratively (as follows) -- do amiss, bow down, make crooked, commit iniquity, pervert, (do) perverse(-ly), trouble, turn, do wickedly, do wrong. heart leb (labe) the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect shall be despised buwz (booz) disrespect -- contempt(-uously), despised, shamed.
